About Me

I am an award-winning copywriter with 16 years’ experience, spanning everything from broadcast and print campaigns, to direct mail, marketing collateral and digital advertising – as well as brand strategy, tone of voice and verbal identity consultancy.

Not only that, I practice what I preach as a senior tutor for The Institute of Copywriting

I began my career as a direct mail copywriter in 1989 at the Prudential. After stints at several London agencies, I moved to the USA in 1996, where I spent two years as editorial director for TPC (now Aegis) in Detroit, and then three years in New York as the Red Group’s associate creative director. In my time there I worked with IBM, Ford, General Motors, Unilever, Wal-Mart, Avon, Lucent Technologies and Pfizer.

I returned to the UK in 2000 to form Nomad: My work was short-listed for the New Media Age Awards two years’ running in 2002 and 2003.

I’m 38 years old, married with two sons and like cricket, country rock and risotto (in that order).
